approval.

Husband, You just KNOW the mornings I need to snooze that 4:45 alarm instead of going running. Thanks for just letting me snuggle for another hour. My kids {and sanity} thank you. TAKS Test, prepare to get drop kicked by a bunch of 3rd graders. Just sayin'. You better bring your A-game. JCrew Birthday Purse, don't you know I am waiting on you and your leathery-smelling self to arrive? Tell the UPS man to bring you. Stat. Oh, and last but not least, we loved {LOVED} having dinner with my sister-in-love and her boyfriend at one of our favorite spots in Downtown Bryan. You guys just make us smile. You're approved. Just sayin'.

Happy Hump Day.

drop it like it's hot.

Husband, your "middle of the day" texts make my day. Even though I don't know they are coming, I look forward to them. Make sense? Get it, got it, GOOD. Sun Drop Commercial, you made my kids come to school "droppin' like it's HOT"....How many "first warnings" did I have to give for inappropriate dance moves? Don't worry, you were chosen as drink of the night when two of my little ones were over for dinner. Duh. Evening Sunshine, you make me feel productive and are getting me excited for the running around barefoot in the summertime. Stay here, please?

happy birthday to me.

Mumford & Sons.

All things birthday to come later. Just a little of the favorite music before a {very} late bedtime. It's my birthday, I can stay up late if I want to. {Even though I will regret it very early tomorrow.}

april fools.

Husband, three words. I GOT YOU. April Fool's Suckaaaaaa! American Girl Magazine, thanks for sharing the Frozen Underwear trick. It's been a classic since I was like, 9. Note to self: make sure to put water on those bad boys if you want them to freeze ROCK SOLID. I forgot this little detail at my brother's first spend-the-night party. Fail. Aunt Alicia, You are not only the best "aunt" in the entire world, but a friend. I am SO thankful for you and for your APRIL FOOL'S BIRTHDAY! Saturday School, You start in 8 hours. I need to beat the Shipley's Doughnut rush and get at least half of a decent sleep cycle.

Sweet Dreams.

wrinkles and surprises.

Beloved, I got the bestest surprise today {unless you would have mailed yourself in a box to wherever I was, of course} - my ring is fixed! Just like brand new! Oh, and the first fruits of our {I've already forgot the name} ROSE are beautiful. Thanks for picking it for me. Humble veggie and herb garden, soak in the sun, drink in the water, and GROW! We want to eat you! Eye wrinkles, I cannot tell if you are smile lines, stress lines, or rapid aging lines. I COULD, perhaps, throw out some names of children that probably put them there. Two words: WORTH. IT.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

l-o, l-o, l-o, l-o-v-e.

This week was a total DOOZIE. And I am sure the next couple of weeks we have until TAKS will be just as crazy. Husband, thank you for sneaking up to school and leaving a love note in my car. I love being your sweet girl. Thank you for creatively pursuing me for like the 2 hours you saw me each day. I am so lucky to be YOURS. 3rd graders, our Poetry Coffeehouse was great. I loved hearing you read with excitement, snap instead of clap, and drink out of donated Starbucks cups. I wouldn't trade you all for a mountain of Sour Patch Kids with a Skinny Vanilla Latte on top.

Oh, and Meredith {lover and best friend, all wrapped into one with a ribbon on it}, YOU ARE ENGAGED! Do you hear me? YOU ARE ENGAGED. I want to scream from the tippy top of a mountain of how faithful the Lord has been to see you and Mike through the last 4 years I have known you. I cannot WAIT for July 2, 2011.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAMELA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! To my blonde bestie who is far, far away in Dallas. Thank you for letting me live with you in good 'ol Mosh Freshman year, call you MACHO PAM, and snuggle just about whenever I wanted. Missing your beautiful smile and back massages.
